by Beca Lewis February 23, 2009

Have you ever said to yourself, or had it said to you, or said to another, “Just snap out of it.” This statement supposes that we have the ability, knowledge, and desire at that moment to do so, and this is often not the case. So this little article is dedicated to all of us [...]

Notes For “I Say Hello”

by Beca Lewis February 7, 2009

For a many days the temperature here ranged between 10 degrees below and 10 degrees above zero. When it “warmed” up to 32 or so, it felt warm. Our coats were unbuttoned and there were even those who were out and about without coats. However, at the beginning of the cold season when the temperature [...]

Notes For One Step At A Time

by Beca Lewis January 24, 2009

This last week the signs of nature have alerted me to the coming spring. It doesn’t look like spring outside. The snow is deep and large icicles hang from everyone’s eaves. The wind blows drifts of snow off of roofs and I still go outside bundled in warm clothes.

One Step At A Time

by Beca Lewis January 24, 2009

We don’t have to know how to do all the details of what is calling us. We don’t have to understand what it will lead to. We don’t have to qualify; we don’t have to earn it. We just have to be willing to put one foot in front of the other and accept it for what it is, the essence of what we call God, appearing as ourselves.

Layers Of Dreaming

by Beca Lewis January 8, 2009

I had a nightmare recently.  The core of it was I was trying to tell Del something and I couldn’t speak.  In the dream I knew I was dreaming so my “task” was to wake up.  I did.  But, I still couldn’t move.  I lay there thinking how will I live this way?  How will [...]

Notes On Layers Of Dreaming

by Beca Lewis January 8, 2009

It’s another beautiful day of working by the wood stove with the gorgeous snow falling. Of course Del reminds me that I see it that way because I am warm, and I work from home, and don’t have to leave the house when it snows.  Yes, it is all about perception. And in the end, [...]

Notes on The Lie of The One Lie ..

by Beca Lewis December 1, 2008

We held The 12th Gathering last month and it was even more wonderful than we had imagined (as all good things are.)  It truly was “Three Days Out Of This World,” and we are all holding to this new awareness now in our “everyday” life. In the next few weeks I will have pictures for [...]

The Lie Of The One Lie

by Beca Lewis December 1, 2008

There is only one evil, only one lie. It has many faces. It plays many roles. It speaks many languages. But, it is just one lie. Although it may appear that we must deny each version of the one lie separately, the truth is, we only have to recognize this one lie for what it is to permanently disable it, and dissolve its power forever.

Stuck, Inertia, And The Fire Within

by Beca Lewis November 9, 2008

We installed a wood burning stove in our living room which we use to heat our home. It works wonderfully well and it continues to provide guidance as well as warmth. This week it demonstrated to me the difference between “inertia” and “stuck” and how to dissolve both.

Letting Go, What Gives, And Derivatives

by Beca Lewis October 21, 2008

By Beca Lewis It was a beautiful fall day, a perfect day to work in the garden.  My plan was to move two hosta plants which resided in an area that received direct afternoon sun, and move them to the morning sun area of the garden, which is their preferred location. I prepared the new [...]

A Cycle of Graceful Abundance

by Beca Lewis October 6, 2008

Yesterday we saw a squirrel running by our door. He was intent upon burying the nut that he had just found. We can tell that winter is coming because instead of just using the “squirrel highway” in the trees, the squirrels are on the ground looking for and burying nuts.

The squirrels are doing what they always do, gathering and planting. Someone must have forgotten to tell them about the current financial crisis.
